Working beyond grocery bags and cardboard, I began looking for other recycled materials and found objects that I would use in my work. I enjoy the idea of working with something as simple and jovial as a deck of cards, and it became my goal to complete series of full sets.

“Card Sharks” depicts whimsical studies of common objects painted on vintage playing cards, transforming familiar items into miniature works of art.
